The Terraces 31 October 2024

We headed off towards Western Heights and veered right finding ourselves at The Terraces where we found ourselves happily looking at Drimia uniflora,  Craterostigma wilmsii, Delosperma subpetiolatum, Lampranthus fugitans, Hypoxis flanaganii and Tulbaghia acutiloba that grew on the rocks.

We meandered down through marsh where we found Harveya pauciflora which simply took our breath away.  What a beautiful pink.  The cows had gone through this area too regrettably.

In the grasslands we foun Thunbergia atriplicifolia, Pelargonium capitatum, Zornia linearis, Hilliardiella elaeagnoides, Helichrysum chionosphaerum,  Helichrysum panduratum, Sisyranthus imberbis and Eriosema umtamvunense.  The two orchids we found on a marshy embankment were Satyrium longicauda and Schizochilus zeyheri.
