  1. Dear Graham, I may be indeed wrong but I think what you have labelled Loxostylis alata is Schrebera alata in flower. Love Gail

    Thanks for checking and getting back to me. We did see both species at Manilkara Meander - unfortunately the flowers on the Schrebera were out of reach, but I did point out the nearly ripe fruit capsules to you. The Loxostylis was right where Kate was sitting at our lunch spot - not a very impessive cluster of flowers and rather unseasonal, but at this time of the year every flower counts.
