The article covers a combined CREW outing (Pondoland CREW and CREW staff, KZN) to Vernon Crookes Nature Reserve. We were lucky to find what turned out to be a plant last collected in 1911 and not seen since, Riocreuxia flanaganii var. alexandrina. The SANBI Red List categorised this species as critically endangered and the species was thought to be extinct.
